The Class Ambassador Program was developed to foster a sense of affinity among their class year and towards Grinnell College. Two individuals from each class year are selected to serve as the class ambassadors for their respective year. Class ambassadors are selected through an open application process facilitated by the three key drivers of the program (Student Government Association, Student Alumni Council, and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations). Individuals serve a one-year term and may reapply for additional terms if they so choose. First Year Class Ambassadors are chosen second semester through an application process.
Class of 2019
Bryce Lew, he/him/his (spring): Hello! My name is Bryce and I am one of the Class of 2019’s Class Ambassadors! I was born and raised in Pasadena, California (a suburb of Los Angeles). I’m planning on being an Economics & Pyschology major to go into behavioral economics and marketing. I’m a huge Netflix enthusiast (Chuck, Shameless, and The Office are some of my favorite shows), I’m a big foodie, and I love to go on random adventures. Let me know if you have questions, concerns, ideas, or just want to hang out! Thanks & I’m looking forward to serving as your Class Ambassador!
Story Lesher, she/her/hers (fall): Hi! My name is Story Lesher and I am a Biology major from Yankton, South Dakota. On campus, I participate in Dance Ensemble and the KidsMusic program, and I am very excited to serve as a Class Ambassador. During the semester, I hope to continue fun class bonding events that the previous ambassadors have set up to create ties between students in our class. I am excited to help bring our class networking event opportunities to connect with past alumni. I hope to bring our class together & create connections with past Grinnellians!
Emily Zaffiro, she/her/hers (full year)
Class of 2020
Carson Peters, she/her/hers: I’m from the D.C. area & am an intended Biology major with a concentration in Global Development Studies. Carson is a student mentor for Al Exito and is involved in the Ignite Program. Over the summer, she pursued research at the National Institute of Health. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, and volunteering.
Yoli Martin, she/her/hers: My name is Yoli Martin, and I am an intended Biology major with a potential concentration in another topic, but I’m still figuring it out. As a CA for the class of 2020, a few of my goals are to help foster the community and strengthen the identity of our class. I plan to complete this through events and programs that let us learn about and build on all of the ways that we work together to define the class of 2020. I also hope to provide opportunities through which our class can get to know the town of Grinnell further. Over the 2017-2018 year, I hope that our class can continue to support and depend on each other.
Class of 2021

I love to read, knit very sad scarves, and watch comedy specials on Netflix. I’m always open to listening to people’s recommendations on books, movies, and music, and have tons to share. Feel free to reach out if you have any ideas, suggestions, or want to borrow a book! Thank you and I’m excited to be your Class Ambassador this year.
