In the first five weeks of the Academic school year, All Campus Events have spent $7,905 or about 20% of its semester budget of $38,000. The budget is well on pace since the semester is 35% of the way over (14 academic weeks in the entire semester). The biggest portion of the budget this week went to Ten Ten (October 11th): $1,343, while ISO Rave, Harvest Fest and Latin American Heritage Month all received between 200 and 300 dollars. Any student on campus can actively participate in the decision making for the spending of the ACE budget, come to JRC 226 on Mondays at 8 p.m. For a calendar including set in stone and tentative All Campus Events email ACE@grinnell.edu!

The All-Campus Events Committee is responsible for providing funds and helping hosts plan all-campus events, which may include; concerts, comedy shows, parties, poetry nights, BBQs and many more. The Committee is structured in a way so that all members have an equal say in which events get funded and approved by ACE. Members of the committee are also encouraged to seek out new performers and artists that they would like to see on campus and present these ideas before the committee.
